ROSALIND JACKSON
Rosalind Jackson is an accomplished television and film producer and screenwriter with a sharp creative vision and a passion for powerful storytelling, Jackson has built a career at the intersection of entertainment, wellness, and cultural relevance.
She currently serves as Director of Development at Edmonds Entertainment, the production company behind such acclaimed projects as Soul Food and Jumping the Broom. In addition, she holds the position of Director of Content at AlrightNow.com, a health, wellness, and lifestyle platform founded by Tracey Edmonds.
Jackson’s recent producing credits include her role as Co-Executive Producer of the original BET+ thriller Wake, starring Shoniqua Shandai, J. Alphonse Nicholson, DeRay Davis, and Parker McKenna Posey. She is also a Co-Producer of College Hill: Celebrity Edition Season 3 (BET+), which features Tamar Braxton, Angela “Blac Chyna” White, Saucy Santana, Claudia Jordan, Karlous Miller, and Nick “Swaggy P” Young.
Her earlier credits include co-producing the hit scripted series Games People Play (BET), starring Sarunas Jackson and Karrueche Tran; the OWN docuseries Deion’s Family Playbook, spotlighting NFL legend Deion Sanders and executive producer Tracey Edmonds; and With This Ring (Lifetime), a film adaptation of the bestselling novel starring Regina Hall, Jill Scott, and Eve.
Jackson is also the founder of WordyGirl Entertainment (WGE), a dynamic multi-media company specializing in scripted and unscripted content, and script consulting. Also under the WGE umbrella is WordyGirlEnt.com, a blog focused on writing, television, and film; and WordyGirl Entertainment Podcast, where she interviews writers, producers, directors, and actors. She’s a voting member of the Television Academy (Emmy’s) and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Television Production from California State University, Northridge.
